A meal rich in saturated fat will make you concentrate worse

Saturated fats make concentration difficult, according to the results of a study conducted by researchers from Ohio University (USA) and recently published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

The research assessed the ability of 52 women to perform attention tests after eating a menu with excess saturated fat or one high in unsaturated fat. And the results were very clear: in those who had consumed saturated fats the results were worse, which makes clear the negative effect of these on this brain function.

At the same time, scientists also found that intestinal bacteria that pass into the bloodstream because of permeable gut (a fairly common condition in which poor nutrition plays a large role) also have negative effects on attention.
