South Korea reopens schools on May 13 with mandatory masks


South Korea has announced that it will open schools from May 13 after no new communitarian infections have been registered in the last few days.

However, health authorities have urged the 5.5 million students in the pre-school, primary and secondary grades to take extra precautions while preparing an action plan to prevent any further spread of infection.

The use of mass testing, tracking of infected people and the use of technology has allowed South Korea to limit the spread of infection without a suspension of economic activity.
